Hyundai i30 (PD): Automatic climate control system / Manual heating and air conditioning

The heating and cooling system can be controlled manually by pushing buttons other than the AUTO button. In this case, the system works sequentially according to the order of buttons selected. When pressing any button except the AUTO button whilst using automatic operation, the functions not selected will be controlled automatically.

1.Start the engine.

2.Set the mode to the desired position. For improving the effectiveness of heating and cooling, select:

- Heating: Hyundai i30. Manual heating and air conditioning
- Cooling: Hyundai i30. Manual heating and air conditioning

3.Set the temperature control to the desired position.

4.Set the air intake control to the outside (fresh) air position.

5.Set the fan speed control to the desired speed.

6.If air conditioning is desired, turn the air conditioning system on.

7.Press the AUTO button to convert to full automatic control of the system.

The Automatic Climate Control System is controlled by setting the desired temperature. 1. Press the AUTO button. The modes, fan speeds, air intake and air-conditioning will be controlled automatically by the temperature setting you select.

The mode selection button controls the direction of the air flow through the ventilation system. Defrost-Level (A, D) Most of the air flow is directed to the windscreen.

You can check the tyre pressure in the Assist mode on the cluster. Refer to the "LCD Display Modes" in chapter 3. Tyre pressure is displayed after a few minutes of driving after initial engine start up. If tyre pressure is not displayed when the vehicle is stopped, "Drive to display" message will appear.

All tyre pressures (including the spare) should be checked when the tyres are cold. “Cold tyres” means the vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours or has been driven for less than 1 mile (1.6 km). Warm tyres normally exceed recommended cold tyre pressures by 4 to 6 psi (28 to 41 kPa).
