Hyundai i-30: Rear Suspension System / Rear Upper Arm
Repair procedures
1. |
Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.
Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securelysupported.

2. |
Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from the rearhub.
Tightening torque :
107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage the hub bolts whenremoving
the rear wheel and tire (A).

Loosen the rear upper arm mounting bolt and thenremove the rear upper
arm.
Tightening torque :
137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

Set up the transmission jack under the lower armin order
to remove the upper arm in no-loadcondition
|

4. |
Loosen the bolt & nut then remove the rear upperarm (A) with the sub
frame.
Tightening torque :
137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

Installation in the reverse of removal.

Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.

Check for all bolts and nut.

Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait
for at least 30 seconds.

Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are placed in the straight
ahead position...
