Hyundai i-30: Starting System / Starter Relay
Repair procedures

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.

2. |
Remove the fuse box cover.
|
3. |
Remove the starter relay (A).

4. |
Check for continuity between the terminals (30 and 87) using an ohmmeter.

1 MΩ or higher

If there is continuity between the terminals, replace the relay.

5. |
Apply 12V to the terminal 85 and ground to the terminal 86 and then
check for continuity between the terminals (30 and 87).

If there is no continuity between the terminals, replace the relay.

Install the starter relay.

Install the fuse box cover.

The starting system includes the battery, starter, solenoid switch, ignition
switch, inhibitor switch, ignition lock switch, connection wires and the battery
cable...

Opening the fuel filler door
1. Turn the engine off.
2. Ensure the driver's door is
unlocked.
3. Push the fuel filler door near the 3
o'clock position.

fully open.
5. To remove the fuel tank cap (2),
turn it counterclockwise...
